Due to an evil technical event that happened to a hard drive, our engineer lost all of the original recordings for "Born to be Mild." We then had to quickly re-record the entire album (13 tracks) over the course of three late evenings in order to finish in time for an upcoming tour. The new tracks were then brought by our engineer Yama to GOK studios in Kichijoji, Japan for final mixing with Mr. Kondo. We are forever grateful for the amazing production value and audio wizardry that Mr. Kondo gave to our recording (value we never could never normally afforded), and we also learned a lot from the experience of having recorded an album twice. However, as the album had to be mixed in Japan without the band present, there are things we wish we could change, but they are by-products of what was necessary for us to complete the album on time. Presented here, are the pre-mix versions of tracks from the "Born to be Mild" CD, created immediately after the recording sessions with The Spunks still present. In retrospect, the band prefers the energy of some of the pre-mix tracks to the final mixes that comprise the CD.
